This included: - Red flower/poppy - People who fought in the war - Wars - Australia and NZ went to war - Remember the soldiers who died Then we read the story: ANZAC Bear. If you would like to hear it again (as I know some people had issues with their internet) you can use this link/put into your web browser:   http://quietube7.com/v.php/http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXKn29ZKfow     Homework: 1. To make something to show your support for ANZAC day. This can include any craft, chalk drawings on pavement/driveway/fence, drawing or colouring in. If you can bring your picture to our zoom session tomorrow and take a photo and send it to Mrs. Howard/Mrs. Mailei for us to put them all up on the blog. Wednesday zoom session.

Today we listened to a story on a website called Vooks , a video book library,  (there is a months free trial at the moment). We then played a maths game called "SPLAT" After maths, we had a look at some of the book covers that we did. This is the book cover that Mrs. Mailei drew. Here is the one Tyrese drew. We then had to listen very carefully.  We had to draw a picture following the instructions from Mrs. Mailei. We finished our zoom class with some sharing. Kai made a raft.  Those sharks are huge! Demetri made scones with his mum and sister!  Yum. Maiya and her family made planes. They tested them to see if they could fly. For our zoom class tomorrow you need to have a scavenger hunt and look for these items around your house. An item that you would take to school. Something oval. Something cylinder. A sphere-shaped object. An object with numbers on it. See you all tomorrow ...

Hi Room 28, Have you been on a bear hunt???  Have you noticed all of the bears in windows on your walks? Here's one! Mrs Mailei and her girls have done one better.  They have added easter eggs to their bears. How many easter eggs can you count when you are out on your walks? Have a great weekend. Mrs H and Mrs M.

Weird and wonderful things

Image
Hi Room 28, I hope you have all been enjoying time at home in your bubbles with your whanau. My family and I have been doing lots of work around our house and making sure we are doing lots of fun things as well. One thing that we are all missing is being out on the water.  We often go out on the kayaks, paddleboards or our boat when the weather is nice.  AND we have had quite a few of those nice days. My teenage boys are really missing their takeaways food, especially McDonalds!!! We have had to improvise! Even our dog, Coco isn't going to miss out of being on the water!!! My boys think this is a pretty good likeness to the real McDonalds Big Mac sauce! What have you been up too?? You can send me an email of all of the weird and wonderful things that you have been doing. alicia@elmpark.school.nz Remember to  Stay calm, be kind & stay home!
